I’m Brian Travers, Founder and Creative Director at On Modern.

With over a decade of experience in residential design, documentation and project delivery, I bring a balanced approach that combines design insight with technical precision. My background spans design research, site analysis, drafting, and project coordination, all grounded in a strong understanding of ACT planning and building standards.

I’ve led and supported a wide range of residential projects, from owner-occupied homes to small developments, always with a focus on clarity, collaboration, and quality outcomes. I believe good design should improve how we live, and that every project, large or small, has the potential to add value to our community and built environment.

At On Modern, I’m committed to creating thoughtful, practical designs that reflect the way people in Canberra really live. Each project is an opportunity to refine, improve, and contribute to a more considered built landscape across the ACT.
